In Turkey, etiquette and protocol are deeply rooted in a rich history and hospitality is a tradition.

Appearance influences how others perceive and respect you. To boost your credibility, ensure you always look polished and professional.

TURKISH ETIQUETTE AND SOCIAL GRACE

Being aware of cultural differences when arriving in Türkiye is an essential first step, but knowing how to react to them with finesse and respect is more effective. This is where cultural intelligence (CQ) comes into play.

Adapting to these standards does not call into questioning your own identity. Especially since etiquette in Türkiye is not a constraint, but a gateway to business opportunities and lasting ties. It is therefore a question of being flexible in your approach and knowing how to adjust when necessary.

Developing CQ also means being comfortable with the thought of being uncomfortable. However, cultural etiquette is not a matter of right or wrong, but rather an adaptation to various local requirements without value judgment.
